Thank you, Lord, for yesterday.
And for the promise of a new tomorrow.
For rest in the night.
And strength in the day.
For more happiness - than sorrow.
Thank you for my many friends,
And a country where I'm free;
Where I can own my house,
And drive a car,
And - openly - disagree.
Thank you, Lord, that I can walk,
And sing, and hear, and see.
For food to eat,
And clothes to wear;
Enough for more than me.
Thank you for the gift of love,
That brings another closer.
That, in time, can make
A - family
Where love will bloom moreover.
Thank you for the little things,
Throughout the day, that make me smile;
For the worries that...
You take away,
And, for a tear, once-in-a while.
Thank you for a mind to dream;
To calculate, and plan;
To set a goal;
To chart a course;
To do whatever others can.
Thank you most of all, Dear Lord,
For patience, when I forget,
And begin to complain
About little things,
That cause me to be up-set.
I'm a miracle of creation.
You made me. I belong to you.
You've given more
Than I deserve,
And provided Heaven, too.
Thank you, Lord
