"Why do all the animals have tails?"
Kids have asked for years.
When I was a kid myself,
I had questions about their rears.

They have a tail to swish around,
And keep off flies and ants.
I s'pose that's why the Good Lord
Doesn't make them wear their pants.

And why's their tail put where it is?
Instead of somewhere near their neck?
Because you'd want your tail to be
Where most of the flies collect!
