A LITTLE BOY'S TOYS
by
Kent E. Gunnison ©

A little boy's toys - layin' on the lawn
As the day is almost gone.
His Mommy and Daddy are givin' him a good-night kiss.

Kinda makes ya wonder what'll happen to a little boy's toys.

A little boy's toys - layin' on the lawn.
The sun's comin' up - it's almost dawn,
But his Mommy and Daddy are gonna have a fight today.

A little boy's toys - layin' on the lawn
He's out there with 'em - doesn't know what's goin' on.
His Daddy - is packin'-up a suitcase and closin' it tight.

A little boy's toys - layin' on the lawn.
It's evenin' again - but his Daddy's gone.
He doesn't understand where his Daddy went tonight.

A little boy's toys - layin' on the lawn.
The middle of the night - with his Daddy gone.
He looks at his ceiling - and prays a little boy's prayer.

A little boy's toys - layin' on the lawn.
They're not much fun with his Daddy gone.
Kinda makes you wonder what'll happen to a little boy's toys.
