An aircraft stays aloft because the center of gravity is located somewhere near the center of lift of the wing. Because the center of gravity is critical to the aircraft's ability to fly, a weight-and-balance calculation is necessary, and, required by the FAA before the aircraft can be deemed airworthy.
This web application provides all of the necessary tools to calculate and print a weight-and-balance form showing all of the information required by the FAA. We also provide the tools necessary to record the measurements and weights of items added or removed from an aircraft.
All you need is a current copy of your weight-and-balance form, and the operator's manual from your aircraft, to begin making use the this handy tool. All of the information you submit remains in the database until you decide it should be removed. You may return to update and manipulate your data as often as you like. NOTE: Blank, incomplete records are removed from the database, so be sure to print off the work-sheet and gather your data before creating your account.
