THE REVEALER OF SECRETS

When I hear the testimony of how God saved a sinner's soul:
      And he can't believe what the preacher knew. He says, "Someone must have told."

For, on that day of his salvation, every word hit home.
      As if his sinful way of living had, somehow, been made known.

And we chuckle when we hear it. "A coincidence!" We think.
      But, in reading what the Bible says, we find a fitting link.

For, in the book of Daniel, we shouldn't find it odd;
      That The Revealer of Secrets - is a title given God.

He knows every secret. He knows every little fact.
      We don't fool Him for a moment with our clever little act.

And when we pull-away from Him, and decide, our way, to go,
      He just may reveal some secrets that we want no-one else to know.

Remember Ananias? And his wife, Sapphira too?
      In the book of Acts they tried to keep back money that was due.

They thought they had a secret, from the others, well concealed.
      But sudden-death is what they met, as their secret was revealed.

And in the book of Joshua: The story of a man named Achan;
      Who tried to keep a secret, just to find he was mistaken.

His wife, and family paid the price when he disobeyed the Lord.
      Some warnings given in God's word that shouldn't be ignored.

Now keeping that in mind each day, and staying at His side,
      He won't let us get involved with anything we need to hide.

But if we shun His warnings, and begin to practice secret sin,
      We engage Him in a battle: A battle we can never win.

So, should you have some secrets that you want no one else to know,
      And you're far-off from The Savior who you were close-to long ago;

Now's the time to face Him. And forsake your secrecy;
      Lest He reveals what you've been hiding; - for everyone to see.
